We're doing something right!! The Tubac Country Inn is celebrating it's 20th year. Ivan and April take great pride as owners and operators of our small inn. Staying at the Tubac Country Inn, in the heart of the village, represents an authentic experience on so many levels-Joie de vivre starts here.

"We stayed here for 3 nights in Dec 10 and I would definitely stay here again if visiting Tubac. We arrived to check in just as our hosts were about to leave and had already written us a welcome note. They were extremely hospitable when we arrived and delayed their leaving in order to make sure we were sorted out. I generally don't use B&B's as don't want to be tied to getting to breakfast at a particular time, and mornings aren't my thing so am not good at polite conversation until I'm awake but the Tubac Inn was perfect as our hosts arrived some time just after 7am and left breakfast in a basket outside the door each morning. The breakfast of pastries, fruit and cheese was just right to get you started and on your way and I really appreciated this way of doing B&B. The Inn sits right at the end of the main street so everything is walkable within Tubac for shopping or visiting the Presidio and it makes a great base for visiting Tumacacori and the local area. Our room was beautiful, very spacious and included a small kitchen with everything we needed. The garden was lovely and I think we were at the Inn at a quite time as I wasn't aware of many other guests but even if it had been full there is enough of a garden and deck with seating etc that you can still keep some privacy if you want to. It's not a budget experience but I would definitely stay here again if visiting Tubac."

Ivan Drechsler is no stranger to hospitality: starting out in Baltimore, Maryland, his parents owned and operated the Milton Inn in Sparks, Maryland. From there, he graduated from Cornell Hotel School and then earned a Masters of Business from George Washington University. April Earickson was born in Arizona, then moved to San Diego, then moved to Perth, Australia, Boulder, Colorado and Corvallis, Oregon and of course is an Oregon State University Alumni. She owned and operated a high end audio/music store for 25 years before meeting Ivan in Sedona. Her introduction to the hospitality field was working at Miiamo Spa at Enchantment Resort in Sedona.
On a weekend get-away to Tubac they discovered the Tubac Country Inn for sale-the rest is history. Finding the perfect meld of art, history, community and the ever present cultural diversity was the draw. Southern Arizona has a wonderful year round climate, clean air and the most beautiful starry nights imaginable. A true walking village-paradise found.
